Atlantic Building Inspectors (ABI) can provide a full spectrum of environmental management services to clients, offering over 38 years of experience in a wide range of environmental projects in Atlantic Canada. The services include environmental auditing, environmental permitting and approvals, regulatory compliance, Phase I/II/III Environmental Site Assessments, environmental planning, environmental impact assessments, site decommissioning/closure, as well as public involvement, consultation and conflict resolution.

Where the scope of a project requires additional technical capabilities, ABI assembles a team of qualified professionals to meet the specific project requirements. Working directly with clients, this approach has allowed us to provide a solution driven service in a very cost-effective manner.

The following is a summary of our experience in the area of environmental management:

  • Air: Adaptation to Climate Change; Greenhouse Gases; landfill gases; wind power.
  • Waste: closure of former dumps; landfill EMS; compliance auditing; Certificate of Authorization-landfills; Environmental Effects Monitoring (EEM).
  • Water: Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)-groundwater and surface water sampling; source water delineation; Water and Wetland Alterations Permits (WWAP); groundwater protection; Environmental Protection Plans (EPPs).
  • Environmental Assessment: Environmental Assessments (CEAA) and NB Regulation 87-83; aquatic habitat assessment; wetland assessments; HADD; aquatic habit restoration.
